چکیده

The aim of this study was to isolate and identify secondary metabolites from Sonchus brachyotus evaluate their antioxidant anti-inflammatory activities. In study, we isolated three flavonoids a 70% EtOH extract by Medium Pressure Liquid Chromatography (MPLC) prep-High-Performance (HPLC). To the biological activities (an-tioxidant anti-inflammatory) these flavonoids, in vitro inhibitory against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, nitric oxide (NO) production, prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) secretion were determined. We successfully identified namely luteolin (1), luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucoside (2), luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucuronide (3) spectral analyses. Luteolin (1) at 20 μg/mL inhibited ROS NO PGE2 48.6%, 61.28% 12.10%, respectively, (2) generation 67.03% 20.82%, respectively. showed similar activities; however, observed be stronger antioxidant. Besides activities, S. containing lu-teolin-7-O-β-D-glucoside is considered possess diverse results indicate that an edible medicinal plant, which believed significant resource functional foods.

Litchi flavonoids: isolation, identification and biological activity.

The current status of the isolation, identification, biological activity, utilization and development prospects of flavonoids found in litchi fruit pericarp (LFP) tissues is reviewed. LFP tissues account for approximately 15% by weight of the whole fresh fruit and are comprised of significant amount of flavonoids. The major flavonoids in ripe LFP include flavonols and anthocyanins. The major fl...

Anti-Hepatitis B Virus Activity of Flavonoids from Marchantia convoluta

Flavonoids from Marchantia convoluta (MCF) were studied for their ability to inhibit the proliferation of 2.2.15 cells. All concentration of MCF inhibited the secretion of HBsAg and HBeAg in the cultured medium by 2.2.15 cells. Analysis of morphological changes of MCF-treated cells by phase-contrast microscopy revealed a possible mode of action for MCF: inhibition of proliferation of 2.2.15 cel...

Flavonoids of Lonchocarpus montanus A.M.G. Azevedo and biological activity.

The analysis of root extracts from Lonchocarpus montanus A.M.G. Azevedo resulted in the isolation of twenty three compounds chiefly flavonoids of which five (four flavonoids and one benzophenone) are described for the first time. The molecular structures of the new compounds (1-5) were determined through spectral analysis (UV, IR, MS and NMR) as being: 2'-hydroxy-8-(alpha,alpha-dimethylallyl)-2...
